Indian Harbor Beach is a small Florida City; a mere two miles square nestled between the blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the calmer Indian River Lagoon. It is home to about 8,000 residents and has gained a reputation as a safe, secure city that offers low taxes and great facilities.
One of the premier communities in the area is Martesia. Martesia is a seaside community that currently consists of 120 privately owned homes. The community is beautifully well maintained and the circular loop that is Martesia Way not only connects everyone in the community to each other but is also a great trail for exercise walking.
Within the community you will find a sandy children’s playground, two tennis courts and a community pavilion equipped with charcoal grills and picnic tables, perfect for entertaining family and friends.
Across the street from the pavilion there is a tranquil beach park which boasts a volley ball court and additional picnic facilities.
The homes at Martesia are all extremely well maintained and the community is popular with many both for its amenities and ease of access and its friendly, welcoming feel.
Once one leaves the community the library, the beach and a number of shops and restaurants are all within walking distance. Martesia’s proximity to the A1A also means that all of the great amenities in Indian Harbors City and beyond are within easy reach.
Indian Harbor residents have access to the kind of recreational amenities that you might be surprised to find in a small city. The 27-acre Gleason Park offers residents the chance to walk, bike and swim and is lit at night by quaint Victorian lights that give it a decidedly romantic air. The million-dollar Algonquin Sports Complex located is home to senior baseball, major Little League, softball and soccer fields serving a number of different age groups.
